Les Voyageurs is a period instrument ensemble devoted to stylish performances of baroque music with a focus on French repertoire. The founding members met during their studies at The Juilliard School, forming the ensemble after discovering tight-knit friendships, similar musical interests and compatible playing styles. As individual musicians, each member enjoys a flourishing solo and chamber career: Jeffrey Girton gave his solo Lincoln Center debut last season with Tomasini’s Violin Concerto in A, and joins Les Arts Florissants alongside Augusta; A. McKay Lodge has been described as “the real thing, a true virtuoso” (Seen & Heard International) and together with Keiran recently gave her Carnegie Hall debut – she released an album (Naxos label) of solo violin works; K. Campbell performed with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra in their 2017 season and is an accomplished modern and baroque cellist; R. Warner has over a decade of experience as a soloist and accompanist and has played under many of early music’s leading conductors; and A. Cockerham pursues a busy career in New York and on the West Coast with ensembles such as Trinity Baroque Orchestra and Philharmonia Chamber Players and can be found on an album with soprano Danielle Sampson.
Currently in their first season as an ensemble, Les Voyageurs is already off to a promising start and looks forward to a full year of concerts including an upcoming program with GEMS (Gotham Early Music Scene, Inc.) on their Midtown Concert Series.

Open Movement Jam with live music
Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz
107 Broadway, Newburgh, NY
Open to all ages, creeds, abilities, colors, shapes and sizes.
The first hour of the event is a guided warm-up and movement awareness workshop led by Ophra Wolf of Force & Flow, followed by free and open time and space for you to move or observe as you please starting at 3 PM and featuring live music with monthly guest musicians.
Kids of all ages are welcome to the jam portion with adult supervision, the workshop at the start is suitable for adults and teenagers.
Movement and dance improvisation is about moving from the inside, in a way that feels good and organic to your body, and an Open Movement jam is a setting in which everyone is an equal part of co-creating the dance of the room.
You can come dance your heart out, and you can also just come to stretch quietly, listen, observe, draw and just enjoy the energy and focus of a room full of moving bodies. You can dance alone and you can dance with others, even your stillness is part of the dance that we’ll be co-creating.
It’s about tuning in – to your own body, to the space around you, and to the people you’re sharing it with. The only requirement is willingness to look, listen and contribute your awareness – because it’s your awareness that’s making it all come to life.
Your donation helps to keep it going!
$5 – $10 suggested donation for the jam, $15 for the workshop
