Call for Artists – Centerpieces at Art Awards

Deadline Date: September 14th, 2018

The Orange County Arts Council invites YOU to set the table for our Art Awards Gala event this year. We are looking for artists to propose, construct, and install centerpieces at the tables for this year’s Gala. The theme is “Antique Circus” and the venue is the Motorcyclepedia Museum in Newburgh NY (images of space available on their website). Looking forward to seeing your concepts!

Where: Orange County Arts Council Art Awards Gala at Motorcyclepedia Museum
When: November 2, 2018 at 5:30 PM
Theme : Antique Circus
Concept: 30 tables, 30 Artists/Designers, 8 settings per table – Amazing Diverse Display.
Submissions due by Friday, September 14, 2018

Specifications/things to consider:
Size for centerpieces are 14”L x 14”W X 14”H (larger may block the view of the stage)
Centerpieces should not interfere with guest’s view of the main stage
Every table will have a white tablecloth that will go 1/2 way to the floor.
Flatware, glasses, cups will be provided by caterer.
You can provide Table settings such as napkins and plates as part of your design (your plates will be used as chargers). Loughrans will be providing white 10.25” plates.
White plastic chairs with padding. Tables size 60” round.
Tables are on a first come, first serve basis.
The color theme is jewel tones: red, gold, navy, emerald.
Concepts should incorporate the Antique Circus theme.

Set up time to begin: Novemeber 2 at 10AM
Set up completion: 4:30 PM

After the event: Each artist is responsible for packing their table art at the end of the night.
Volunteers will be available to assist you in packing up at the end of the night.
Your packing material should be clearly labeled with your name and table number that will be provided to you.

Artists are to submit their proposal with a description of your table accompanied by a photo or a sketch of your idea. Link >> https://goo.gl/forms/XJYGg5NU60r4wmRH2
Chosen artists will receive a 40% discount on their ticket to the event.
